After Japan’s four resounding victories in four days at the World Baseball Classic against Pool B foes China, South Korea, the Czech Republic and Australia on March 9-12, there’s plenty to discuss.

Joining the podcast for this episode is veteran sports reporter Jim Armstrong, a regular sportswriter for JAPAN Forward and SportsLook. In Armstrong’s conversation with sports editor Ed Odeven, the two colleagues highlight Japan’s stellar starting pitching (Shohei Ohtani, Yu Darvish, Roki Sasaki and Yoshinobu Yamamoto) along with big contributions on offense from Ohtani, Lars Nootbaar and Masataka Yoshida, among others.

Armstrong and Odeven also look ahead to Samurai Japan’s quarterfinal game against Italy on Thursday, March 17 and the team’s championship aspirations.
