Japan 2 Earth Launch Makes Top News in the The Sankei Shimbun

The launch of Japan 2 Earth was announced on the front page of August 16th's morning's edition of The Sankei Shimbun, a partner in the new venture.

"Amid the extreme weather like heat waves, droughts and massive floods we are seeing in locations all around the world, J2E will shed light on the environmental challenges facing Japan in creating a sustainable society," states the announcement. "The site will introduce issues from diverse perspectives in both Japanese and English in an aim to bring people around the world together to work toward a common goal."

Japan 2 Earth is a new initiative of the English-language news and opinion website, JAPAN Forward, which is supported by Sankei.
