    Beach volleyball will take place at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, while equestrian events will be held in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles with skateboarding at Place de la Concorde.

    Events will be held across France, with sailing in Marseille and football matches in cities like Lyon and Bordeaux.
  4. Seine River Swimming
    After extensive cleaning efforts, the Seine will host open-water swimming and triathlon events, fulfilling a 30-year ambition to make the river swimmable.

    The Olympic Village will produce about half the carbon emissions of conventional buildings, using low-carbon concrete and renewable energy.

    A massive 95% of the venues for the Games are pre-existing or temporary structures, significantly reducing the environmental impact and construction costs.

    The Paris 2024 mascot, the Olympic Phryge (pronounced freej-uh) was designed to resemble the Phrygian cap, also known as the liberty cap. The caps have been a symbol of freedom throughout French history.

    The Paris emblem combines three symbolic components; the gold medal, the flame, and Marianne, symbolizing the French Republic.These elements come together in a way that resembles a woman's face, which is symbolic of being the first Olympic Games to achieve a perfect gender balance of athletes.

    While almost 600,000 people will be able to enjoy the Opening Ceremony in person, an additional 1.5 billion (almost 20% of the global population) are expected to tune into the television broadcast.
